Natural skincare is not only about what you apply on your skin but what you ingest as well. As we are isolated at home, these are my 3 favorite immune boosting plant ingredients to add to your cuisine or drink as a tea. They are all 3 excellent for supporting upper respiratory health.

Upon waking, I slice raw ginger and add some fresh peppermint leaves to a big pot of hot water and sip on that throughout the entire day. It’s so warming and delicious for your health.

Peppermint is all around amazing. Since it’s anti-microbial and anti-septic in nature, it’s great for acne and oily skin. It also stimulates circulation and soothes skin tissues so very beneficial for sensitive skin types. add the essential oil to a mask or steam your face with the tea. Effective for upper respiratory issues such as sinus and colds.

Anti-fungal, anti-bacterial is excellent for upper respiratory issues and to heal a sore throat. Promotes mental clarity and focus. Uplifting for the mind. Add as an herb in your food, or drink it as a tea. It’s potent so don’t steep more than 5-7 min.

Ginger does wonders for the digestive and circulatory system. Excellent against nausea.

Do you have any family remedies or favorite ingredients you are currently using at home? I'd love to hear about them.
