Is Acne Stressing Your Teen (and You)? Here's Help!

It’s the end of summer, which always brings mixed feelings. It’s nice to get back to a consistent routine, but the back-to-school scramble can be stressful for both parents and kids. And as routines settle back in, some challenges—like teen acne—might resurface.

As a parent, watching your teen struggle with acne can be heartbreaking. I know this firsthand; my son had a difficult time dealing with acne during his senior year in high school. Despite exploring various options, from topical treatments to medications, what made the difference was consistent care, the right products, and a holistic approach. Within eight months, his skin cleared up, his confidence returned, and—thankfully—there was no scarring.

This experience, combined with many years of treating teen skin at my skincare studio, inspired me to create the Clear Skin Confidence online course, designed to empower teens to understand their skin, build personalized routines, and feel confident—whether they are on acne medications or not. We’ve received positive feedback from both teens and parents who have taken the course, praising the impact it’s had on their skin and self-esteem.

When treating teen acne, you have to consider many factors, such as diet, hormones, sports, lifestyle, stress levels, makeup, and skincare products. Sometimes medications are the only solution, but in many cases, you can avoid harsh acne treatments that can leave skin vulnerable to inflammation and scarring. That's why I'm so passionate about finding gentler, effective solutions.

For those struggling with acne, the start of a new school year can be a source of anxiety and low self-esteem.  Let’s work together to help your teen start the school year feeling confident and empowered.

TEEN TESTIMONIAL

"This is amazing and I'm so glad you created this program, cause so many people my age don’t have any resources to get help for their skin and feel incredibly depressed, thinking they can’t do anything about it. So grateful for this!"

PARENTS TESTIMONIAL

“Great program!! My 15-year-old son and I were having a frustrating year dealing with teenage acne. We were over-treating my son’s skin without paying attention to his sensitive complexion. Going through the program, taught us both how to take care of his skin the right way. His acne is now under control and no more redness.”

"I was initially skeptical worrying about my son not having the patience to sit through a skincare course, but the length of the videos were perfect.”                                              - Almudena K.
